Hey, what's up all? Newcomer to the forums, been an E Nomine fan since 2002.
I personally love the song Opus Magnum, however, the second Latin chorus is obviously missing a few words, and I couldn't find any info on them.
So I started playing around with some audio software, changed pitch, tempo, timbre, and so on, then applied my limited Latin knowledge with some good online aids and a bit of deductive reasoning.
The goods! I believe the previously indecipherable bit is "Orbitus Fulminis," and the rest of the line "Paratus Sum" as opposed to "Peratus Sum".
This renders the final line Orbitus Fulminis Paratus Sum; "The irresistable (or mighty) power of the circle prepares me."
Fulminis literally means "(of) lightning" but in this cases, a more poetic usage is indicated, using the nature of lightning as an adjective. Typically, Paratus Sum implies "I am prepared.", and having a subject/genative construction with no verb in between makes this odd, however, Latin allows some leeway with infinitives, so that they can occasionally be used as a direct object instead.
Or, in a nutshell, I believe these to be the corrected lyrics and translation.
Pectus percutitur. Sacrificabor innocens. Igitur sanguis meus purificatio. Opus est magnum. Orbitus fulminis paratus sum.
The chest is cut through. The innocent will be sacrificed. Therefore it is neccesary to purify my blood. The work is great. The irresistable power of the circle prepares me.
I just got this down, and I feel great! Enjoy!
