So, everyone seems a bit confused about what's happening with E Nomine right now, which I guess can best be summed up as: no one knows. So maybe for everyone's convenience, we can post what we do know here, so we can conclude whether or not we should have some false hope. Because I like organization, I'm going to graph these between the 'good' and 'bad' of E Nomine's status.
The Good:
+Polydor still recognizes them as an artist, and has their forum (auf Deutsch) here: forum.pop24.de/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=237
+Their website is still up, and trying to sell you ring-tones.
+'Heilig' was stated for a release about a year ago
+'Excalibur' was released as part of some sort of dancing, ballet, roleplaying, thing.
+Both 'Heilig' and 'Excalibur' seem to be very well taken by the fan-base.
+All E Nomine albums are still being sold on Amazon DE.
+Someone logged onto their myspace on the 30th of April (this year).
The Bad:
-Polydor's link to the download store of the 'Heilig' album turns up blank.
-The official website has not been updated in 5 years.
-Heilig was never actually released for reasons unclear.
- Friedrich "Fritz" Graner left the project a few years back.
-All E Nomine albums on Amazon US are listed as 'Discontinued by the manufacturer'.
Yeah, it's not very clear what's going on. Maybe it'll pass on silently in the night, or maybe Mr. Weller will surprise us with the most amazing Electro-Gregorian chant album the world will ever see. Sadly, I'm leaning more towards the first .
If you guys find this a decent idea, please post any information, theories, feelings, Senad Giccic fanfiction, etc. you may have.
EDIT 8/04/09: I was checking through AMAZON.DE's listing of E Nomine albums to see if maybe something was silently added. Sadly (and as suspected) I found nothing, but I did notice that some of their singles and all albums now had free sample music added (those 30 second preview clips). I don't recall those being there before, except for their main 3 releases. This may be nothing, but at least it's a bit of hope, right? maybe?
