I met a girl online, who claimed that E Nomine was spreading satanism. This was evidenced by the fact that they had a flaming inverted pentagram on the cover of "Die Prophezeiung". The fact that "Der Furst Der Finsternis" was about Lucifer helped her argument as well. This is obviously unfair, seeing how just in the way Das Testament was talking about the bible (and Lucifer is a part of the Bible), Die Prophezeiung speaks of the prophecy of the Anti-Christ. By this argument, you could claim the Bible is Satanic because it talks about the Anti Christ too. They are not saying "worship Lucifer!". So yeah, Die Prophezeiung = Not Satanic.

I don't think E-nomine is satanic, they use lyrics mixed whit quotes from movies in a big % of their songs... as far as Lucifer beeing satanic i seem to remeber there beeing said something in it abouth "there is no hell", but i might be mistaken.. and as you can see here: www.myspace.com/enominegermany the music is in the christian genre...

Pretty sure E Nomine isn't Satanic. Although, I'm not sure as the their Religious orientation, I don't think they are trying to spread the word of evil through their music.

And I truly believe in God... So, I don't like Satanic things... but I love E Nomine!

I think one way of finding out their religious orientation is by looking at their titles and their lyrics. What I mean is that look at the song Psalm 23, for example. Now go look at your Bible and see if the lyrics match the same version of your bible.

They do. But that doesn't mean that they are necesarrily Catholic. Anyone can use the words from the Bible.

I'm kind of surprised that people take something like E Nomine that seriously. They make music, everyone takes it however they want to. But it's certainly not serious to the point of trying to spread satanism. First of all, Satanism is an actual religion which doesn't seem to have much to do with poor old Lucifer, the angel who got his moron thrown out of heaven in the bible.
Secondly, whoever this person is that think's they're satanic, just watch the video for Mitternacht. I remember I first heard the song a few years ago at college, and I was like 'that's a cool song, lets see what the video is like', so I downloaded it and my roommate and I watched it. His comment was "Hey, why is a Calvin Klein model writing dark text in a mansion with scorpion wallpaper". Or the cheesy gunshot effects in Vater Unser. You can't watch those videos and seriously think that these guys are out to do anything other than entertain, which they do.

Well said. I thought you guys would agree, but I'm mystified by her statement, "soon they will tell their followers to worship satan and everyone will follow!"
I'm not kidding, she said that word for word.

On a related topic, I played them for an aunt of mine and this was her reaction.
"...are they spouting off neo-nazism?!?!?!"

if enomine was considered evil and the devil then that would make them THAT MUCH COOOOOLER!!!, i mean american mothers though AC/DC was the devil, and that just boosted how much albums they sold, same with zepplin at some point, and twisted sister (ppl thought they made somekid commit suicide). so the moral of the story is, any publicity is good publicity, specially if ur considered evil!!!

hm... not satanic at all, but, as I think, occultist. Their texts can be hideous

E Nomine isn't Satanic in any way shape or form. Die Prophezeiung isn't satanic in any way either, in fact some of the songs on their are about good triumphing over evil ((If I interpreted them correctly))
Das Testament is about good triumphing over evil and basically tells the story of the bible which definitely means that isn't satanic.
Finsternis is the only one that has a good argument going for it but its more Occult than Satanic though the two are often confused.

I completely agree; the adjective going around in my circles is "demonic." They don't think E Nomine is spreading satanism, but I still find myself strangling the air every time they say it.
